Concrete marketing ROI calculator
Four inputs, and it will tell you plainly when the answer is no. Most calculators in this industry cannot produce a negative result, which tells you what they are for.
Cost assumed is the $2,500/month management fee plus a $4,000/month ad budget, over two months. Booking rate assumed at 65%, which is what we see when leads are answered inside fifteen minutes and materially worse when they are not.
Signed jobs
Gross profit
How to read this honestly. Revenue is what gets signed inside the 60 days, most of which is collected over the weeks after. Gross profit is the number that reaches you. If the net is negative at your real inputs, the fix is almost never a bigger ad budget: it is the close rate, the speed you answer leads, or the size of job you are selling. That is covered here.
About this calculator
What close rate should I use?
Your real one, not your best one. Count the estimates you gave last quarter and the jobs that came from them. Most residential concrete contractors land between 25% and 40%. If you genuinely do not know, that is the most important number to start tracking this week.
What margin should I use?
Gross margin after materials and labour, before overhead. Thirty percent is a common residential figure. Use yours if you know it, because revenue multiples flatter everybody and gross profit is the number that reaches your pocket.
Why does it show a negative result sometimes?
Because sometimes the honest answer is that it does not work. At a low average job value and a low close rate, no marketing programme pays for itself, and the fix is the close rate or the job mix rather than a bigger budget. We would tell you the same thing on a call.
Are these numbers a promise?
No. It is arithmetic on the inputs you typed. The lead volume default reflects what a $4,000/month budget typically produces at about $110 a lead. Your market may be cheaper or dearer, and that is one of the things we check before quoting anybody.
Run it with your real numbers, then call us.
If the arithmetic works we will confirm your city is open and give you your market's actual costs. If it does not, we will tell you that instead.
